The masterplan proposed to reinstate the landscape with high-rise buildings incorporating a raised public realm connected with intertwining bridges that offer a choice of routes and experiences. The elevated public offers a contrast in experience to the realm below, one being more formal, the other being more intimate.
The edge between the old residential area, which is quiet and peaceful, and the new areas, bustling with life brought by the masterplan, becomes a critical point. Similar to the way our experiences and the memories they become change us, the threshold between the two conditions of the city is becoming a transformative experience.
“We are what we remember.”
